Not so quite a Yearful
So far, we had a mini vacation to SoCal to attend a wedding in
Catalina Island, spent the day with Mickey and Minnie and were
witnesses as our goddaughter, Evie was baptized. Thanks to
Dr. Boschken, Caitlin is sporting a new look with her braces. We
watched the Giants defeat the Braves 6 to 4 at AT&T Park. Jack
was initiated with the sacramental gifts of Reconciliation, First
Holy Communion and Confirmation. Caitlin’s softball season ended
with her team (The Red Hot Chili Peppers) placing 2nd in the 10
and under division. Caitlin and Jack started their piano/keyboard,
guitar, tennis, dance, and tumbling classes via the community center
over the summer. Caitlin and cousin John were crime solvers for a
week when they attended a science camp at The Tech Museum.
Caitlin,Veronica, Erin and Sean saw American Idol Kelly Clarkson at
the Shoreline. Hot August Nights were celebrated with a trip to Reno.
We joined Uncle Bob & Aunt Jackie, Betty & Marlin, Bryan/Jackie
Ally/John and stayed at El Dorado Inn and took a sightseeing tour
of Virginia City. Sean bought an early birthday present, a 2006
Chevy HHR LT Sedan (Daytona Metallic Blue). Sean coached Jack’s
fall ball baseball team for the first time. $437.51 dollars later -
Chris completes traffic school on-line for a red light traffic
violation by the Capitola Mall. Caitlin runs for president of
Student Council but looses to her friend, Shawn. In November,
Colleen visited so we took the opportunity to have the whenever
Colleen’s in town “family picture” afterwards we celebrated Sean’s
birthday at the Cheesecake Factory. We did our share of standing
in line hours before CostCo opened in attempt to purchase the Wii.
We are happy to say that we were able to buy one the next day when
the shipment was received (yeah!). Believe it or not, we didn’t do
the crazy shopping on Black Friday. We had our 1st family fun pack
at the HP Pavilion and watched the Sharks beat the L.A. Kings 6 to 3.
Sean quickly had to leave for his annual 2 week Navy duty at Pearl
Harbor in Oahu, the kids and I didn’t make the trip due to school.
